This January we launched the Fulham Gymnastics Club. A not-for-profit community gymnastics club. A member of British Gymnastics and supported by Sports England this much needed Club has attracted 120 children already, within 6 weeks of advertising for Members! We have a few pieces of equipment but we need to build and grow the Club and would really benefit from a junior training beam and Air Trak (an inflated tumbling strip designed for use in gymnastics, and general fitness). Its advantages include versatility, portability and small storage requirements. It is a very safe way for the children and adults to practice tumbling & floor. This equipment will not only encourage new Members and keep current Members excited but it will mean we can expand the Club to more members who can benefit from specialised equipment and get all the health & fitness benefits that gymnastics has to offer. Our dedicated coaches are passionate about offering quality gymnastics training!

Why it's a great idea:

This project is a great idea as we are opening up gymnastics to a new group of children who did not have a local club previously. We have a strong group of older beginners which is very encouraging as we want to ensure that older, secondary school children continue with sport and fitness. Gymnastics is a great all round exercise which also strength trains for other sports and we want to be able to provide quality training with quality equipment at the Club. We want to grow the Club an encourage as many children and adults to join us and stay fit & healthy in a fun and community led environment.

At Fulham Gymnastics we also encourage and welcome volunteers and for the older kids to start their coaching training too.
