The leisure centre is the hub of our local community and has an average of 1000 visitors per week. Introduction of a community cinema will enhance the range of activities the centre provides as the nearest cinema is in York, a 14 mile journey with limited public transport available. The centre charity will benefit with a growth in revenue which will be used to further enhance the visitor experience.

What we'll deliver:

Why it's a great idea:

Enhancement of the community engagement Reduction in local people travelling. Increased use of the centre. Increase in revenue that can be used to reinvest.

Steps to get it done:

The Centre requires a new roof for which we are activity fundraising. We have replaced our kitchen, windows and doors and made drastic improvements to the building to encourage use. we currently have 3 cricket clubs and 2 football clubs using the centres sports facilities and looking to support local badminton and youth clubs.
