We aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment for the whole community post COVID. A place where people can once again interact to help promote self well being for all. Cantley Park is Doncasters largest park boasting a total of 154 acres. A community cafe would bring a central hub to the parks many visitors, footballers, people using the fishing pond, golfers and general public. Be it sat in the rural environment listing to the sounds of Nature or sat inside enjoying the benefits of free wifi, our community cafe will provide a home for all.

The project will bring a central base in Cantley Park for the whole community. Promoting social interaction and health and well being. We'll provide a safe space to encourage social interaction, increased opportunities for people to volunteer and grow their confidence and skills.

VolunteerWe have recently took on a long term lease of the pavilion and land directly behind to help us serve the community furtherwhile also taking on the management of the golf course.
Bessacarr Football Club was formed in 1981 by Brian Ward and Tony Roberts supporting their sons playing for Willow Junior School.
The team of eleven year olds started playing friendlies, before entering the U12s Sunday League as Bessacarr Juniors FC. The club is only one of 500 clubs in England to hold the FA Charter Standard Award at Community Level - the highest possible under the Charter Standard scheme, we are currently the only club in Doncaster with this award.
We know of at least four players who have gone on to play professional football, these are Greg Young, Christian Lee, Lirak Hasani and Emily Burgin.
The club runs teams in all age groups. The U7s to U10s play small-sided football where the emphasis is on enjoyment and development of skills and ability. No points are awarded in the Doncaster Free Press Doncaster & District Junior Sunday mini-league and therefore no league tables exist.
The U11s and U12 play 9-a-side and the U13s to the open-age team all play 11-a-side football, with some age-groups currently running 4 teams.
We currently run 3 senior sides. Our open age Sunday side play in the Doncaster Sunday Alliance League in the premier division. Our Saturday development side currently play in the Doncaster Rovers Saturday League. Our 1st team currently play in the Central Midlands League.
For the older players, we encourage them to take part in coaching and refereeing and give them the opportunity to attend training courses. This has led to some of the older boys becoming involved in coaching with our younger age groups.The club makes sure that all coaches are fully qualified to a minimum of "level one" standard. As a club we take child protection very seriously and all our coaches, managers and officials are crc checked.
