This will be our 3rd annual Christmas event for Collier Row. "Collier Row's Frozen Christmas"
Families will be invited to come to Collier Row on Friday 5th December and take part in a craft trial that will engage them in visiting 4 "Elf Igloos".At each igloo they will get their "Elf Certificate" signed and collect bells for their shoes, snow badges, bags and hats & complete crafts.
When they have all four elfin elements in place they make their way to Santa's Grotto where they have their picture taken to insert in the certificate and graduate as a Collier Row Santa's Helper.
This will be a completely free event as it was last year and this activity will cater for 500 to 700 children
What we'll deliver:
- Engage with All local schools, clubs, groups & socities
- Switching on of the Festive Lights in Collier Row
- Offer a chance to all groups take part in the event itself
- Provide a chance for all kids to meet with Santa & have a family photo
- Provide a free festive event for all the family with live entertainment, Craft trail & festive animal interaction,
- Provide an opportunity for the local business of Collier row to showcase themsleves
Why it's a great idea:
Christmas can be a very hard time for some families especially within the current economic climate. By the CRCG team offer a free event it allows all families no matter their finical standing an opportunity to attend & enjoy a great event creating memories for them that will last for years to come.
The event itself will incorporate all the local groups,churches, clubs etc & offer them an opportunity to take part & showcase to the residents what they have to offer. As well as giving many local traders & businesses a chance to interact with community & gain repeat & new custom which in turn helps Collier Row thrive.
Our Groups motto is working hand in hand with the community & by providing these event we are achieving this goal as well as creating a sense of civic pride & allowing Christmas to be great in Collier Row once again.

The aim of our group is to develop initiatives to invigorate Collier Row for the benefit of the whole community & promote community cohesion. The recession has had an enormous impact & we aim to regenerate Collier Row by uniting all aspects of the community, both retail & residential, by showcasing the wealth of amenities and services available, increasing civic pride & support, ensuring the vibrancy & growth of the area.
We focus on partnership work & have built strong relationships with businesses, residents, schools, community groups & police. Local businesses & traders have indicated that they want to be involved in the event this year & have been amazed with the support & feedback from the community at the events we have provided so far, we want to build on this every year involving more groups putting Collier Row back on the map.
Any contribution no matter how small is welcomed by & we thank you for your support in enabling us to continue providing great community events
