Located at 15 Queen Street we'll offer refill opportunities of whole foods and cleaning products to encourage the reduction of wasteful packaging. The launch event is on Saturday, 29th September 2018 at 15 Queen Street Colchester (opposite PREZZO) at 10am! Shopping at the Zero-Waste is not only better for the environment but could also save Colcestrians money - the ecological household cleaning products, for example, are fair-trade, sustainable, locally-made detergents which can be decanted straight into people’s own containers, cutting out waste and the industrial recycling of packaging. Options include the ginger spice washing-up liquid, bio and non bio laundry liquid, shampoo, conditioner, multi-surface cleaner and more. The shop will also stock a wide range of refurbished, affordable 2nd-user Hoovers, stereos, blenders, mixers, bread makers, TV’s, radios, heaters and fans. We'll also be able to offer 2nd user white goods.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
We hope to change the way Colchester shops: We want to make it as easy as possible for people to do the right thing by choosing to refill products where possible and by not always buying new when good quality items are already available. Colchester is more than ready for our zero-waste shop and we look forward to a successful launch event.”
