CMVC will invite elderly and disabled members of the local community to a free afternoon concert in St Columba's Church Hall, Newton, Chester. Refreshments will be provided. Transport to the venue will be organised with the support of local community groups and care homes. The aim is to entertain people who would not normally go out to this type of performance and provide a social occasion to meet other groups of people within their local community. It also serves as an introduction to the work of the choir in supporting local charities and performing arts in Chester.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The free event will bring together groups from the local community who might not usually meet. It will give them an opportunity to enjoy listening to and participating in a concert. The socialising and musical experiences will help to boost the mental and physical well being of a more vulnerable cohort in our society.
Steps to get it done:
CMVC members will also benefit from knowing that they will be contributing to the social benefits freely presented to fellow Chester citizens..
