County Linx Radio a community run internet radio station has been gifted a bus by East Lindsey District Council to create the Communication, Learning and Understanding Bus. The Club bus will be used to support local community groups, charities and organisation by broadcasting their events and provide a complete stage and audio set-up for free. When the bus is not at events it will travel around rural towns and villages and provide computer classes to all age groups to enable residents join the computer age. We will also visit schools and teach children about radio so that they can create there own shows to be broadcast on the station.

What we'll deliver:

  • Create a 2nd radio station
  • Create a mobile computer centre
  • provide staging and PA for outside events and entertainments

Why it's a great idea:

Nothing like this has been done before, we have been approached by hundreds of organisation over the past two years to support then and we have through radio but to go a step further by being at the event and supporting then will attract more visitors and help broadcast the event live. To provide digital inclusion to residents in rural areas that need support with computer skills, job searching, on-line banking and much more. We have already been groups to support there events.

Steps to get it done:

  • Complete the conversation work to the new CLUB bus
  • Reveal the CLUB bus to the press and public
  • Start working straight away

County Linx Radio is run by volunteers and we worked hard to produce a business plan and costing to convince East Lindsey District Council to support this new and exciting project, with their support by gifting the bus that had sat unused for over three years we can now make this project happen. Become part of this fantastic project and show your support.
