Connection to Openreach’s superfast network does not require any civil works as all the changes are made at the village telephone exchange. Once connected, anyone served by the Clipston telephone exchange will have access to significantly higher broadband speeds via one of the many internet service providers (ISPs) using the Openreach network. The majority of homes in the village will have access to minimum speeds of 50Mbps and even homes furthest from the exchange will experience a minimum of 30Mbps. This is great news for all recreational and business users of the internet at home and work and is particularly welcomed by the school. The school wants Openreach and won’t use other fibre network suppliers because of needing to meet education standard firewalls. The community of Clipston had an open meeting in Dec. 2016 to determine the way forward for improving broadband speeds in the village. The decision was for a partnership with Openreach.

What we'll deliver:

  • Connection to Openreach's superfast network does not require any civil works on your property.
  • Broadband minimum speeds of 50Mbps and even homes furthest from the exchange will experience a minimum of 30Mbps.
  • Nearing completion, available by March 2018 or sooner!

Why it's a great idea:

The community of Clipston had an open meeting in December 2016 to determine the way forward for improving broadband speeds in the village. The decision was for a partnership with Openreach as the preferred supplier to meet the school and village needs. We need your help to meet the modest final costs to complete the partnership.

Steps to get it done:

  • Fibre to the cabinet in Clipston by end of March 2018
