Behind the stage at Hawkinge Community Centre there is a wall that runs from the floor almost to the apex of the roof (the height spans about 20 plus metres) The manager at the centre believes that there is room to install a climbing wall. We believe that this would be a great thing to have at the centre and that it would attract lots of users and maybe even a local climbing club. The space lends itself to be used in this way and it would be terrific if we could get this project off the ground and on to a wall !!

What we'll deliver:

• Purchase climbing equipment for use at the Centre
• Install a climbing wall at hawkinge Community Centre

Why it's a great idea:

Why not. There is nothing like this in Hawkinge and we believe that its a great idea. Climbing is becoming very popular and we believe that we could achieve our goal.

• preparation of rear wall of community centre in order to build climbing wall

• offical launch of climbing wall
• purchase of equipment
