Help us to achieve our wish for a cleaner and litter free Lewisham.
We will need following items for the volunteers:
Litter-pickers
Protective gloves
Bin bags and bags for recycling
Rakes or shovels
Litter-pickers
A safe container (eg biscuit tin or bucket with lid) for sharp objects
First aid kit
Anti-bacterial wipes or hand-washing gel
What we'll deliver:
- Picking up Litters in and around the Manor Park on 12 March with community volunteers and local Brownies
Why it's a great idea:
By bridging the gap between generations and cultures, it enables people to come together to transform their public spaces. The simple act of picking up litter as a group can act as a catalyst for huge change. Also, at least 60% of what is dropped as litter is recyclable. This event will improve our local environment.
Steps to get it done:
- The date and times are set, we will still be doing the event on 12th March 2016 with few local friends
- We wish to encourage others to organise similar events in 2016 in our borough
