Our aim is to support organisations such as social services, special needs schools and schools within deprived areas, hospitals, hospices, domestic violence safe houses that house children and families. We help and support children to have essentials to be able to put a smile on their faces, support their learning and development with essential items that many of us take for granted Our Christmas appeal saw over 11,272 toys and gifts delivered and distributed across the West Midlands to families who were in need and whose children were going to go without a Christmas present. Throughout 2019 we've run projects to benefit children and families across Wolverhampton by working with a lot of the organisations we supported over Christmas, with different projects on a weekly basis. So far since January 2019 we have delivered toys, toiletries, books, colouring books, craft items, Easter eggs etc to over 60 different organisations, schools, churches, domestic violence safe house & hospitals.

What we'll deliver:

  • Age Appropriate Toys
  • Books, Stationery, Board Games
  • Toilettery sets to teenagers & domestic violence victims

Why it's a great idea:

Last Christmas we saw over 11,272 individuals benefit, putting smiles on faces over the festive season, feel good factor for the parents that are unable to buy their children presents, due to financial restraints. We also supported a number of schools, social services teams who are working with such family cases and children who are spending Christmas in hospital or hospices receiving gifts was a real boost to their morale.

Steps to get it done:

  • Gurdwara Launch Christmas 2019 Project
  • Social Media Coverage - create hype
  • Encouraging donations of toys and gifts
  • Target Update to boost donations
  • Packing and sorting Donations
  • Delivering Donations

We're hoping that with this crowdfunding project we can double what we managed to achieve last Christmas as the need is much greater this year than ever before.
