I'm James, a 22 year old man born and raised in Cheltenham. I have lived here all my life and I believe that this idea is something that this town has needed for a long time. want to open and run a vinyl store/community art space. I would sell the vinyl in the shopfront and have a large room behind with a stage, bar, and various spaces to chill as well as create, perform and showcase art. Anyone's art will be accepted - paintings, bands, plays, performances, poetry - the lot. It'll also hopefully just be a really chill place to hang out and chat.

- Open to public!
- Redecorate/add materials for arts/cafe
Why it's a great idea:
We don't really have an art community in Cheltenham - we have so many artistic individuals but nowhere to showcase or display their talents, or somewhere where they can build and hone their artistic skill. I think making artists in Cheltenham part of a community again could do wonders for their own art and give them more exposure, as well as hosting workshops to interest others in creating their own art.
Steps to get it done:
- Find volunteers or pay individuals to host workshops/themed nights
- Use invested money to rent property and set up shop
- Promote the venue locally and get people involved
