The Chatty Café scheme encourages and supports cafes to designate a table where customers can chat to other customers. The scheme is all about creating interactions and fighting loneliness. Lots of people that are lonely visit cafes to break up the day and chatting to another human can have a huge positive impact on them. For a five pound one off donation, cafes receive an A4 clear plastic table stand containing the 'This is a Chatter & Natter Table' sign, an A3 wall poster and a listing on the Chatty Café website. We would love to raise a bit of money to be able to bulk buy the plastic stands and pay for some printing. Thank you for your help!

What we'll deliver:

  • To bulk buy the A4 plastic stands
  • To print posters and letters about the scheme

Why it's a great idea:

Loneliness can affect us all from parents with newborns, carers, the elderly, bereaved, retired. Even the biggest social butterfly can find themselves lonely. The Chatty Café scheme creates a safe space for strangers to talk. We are trying to create a movement. Please help!

Steps to get it done:

Our scheme doesn't really fall into any of the project categories or impacts listed. We are about helping people :)
