We will add refurbish the interior to meet modern sports facility standards
This will entail Building, plumbing, joinery, electrical, decoration and plastering works
In completing this development all female and youth sporting sections of the club plan to achieve growth in
participation due to the provision of modern facilities
What we'll deliver:
- Enhance opportunity for Women, Youth, Disabled participation in sport
- Redevelop a 70 year old facility to benefit the community for the forseeable future
Why it's a great idea:
The Culcheth Sports club, which houses the DATEN
Football Club, is a community facility offering sports activities such as Bowls, Tennis, Table Tennis and
other activities such as dancing, theatre, concerts etc. Redevelopment of the Women / Youth sports
section will provide modern facilities which would be available for any sports Club activities
Steps to get it done:
The project is estimated to cost c£90K. The cost has been estimated through discussion with Steve Hunt Partnership, Structural Engineers who were involved in the development of our Men's section last year We are seeking funding of up to 50% from Spacehive although we would expect to raise funding of 10% of the Spacehive contribution from the local community or directly from CSC. The balance would be provided by the Football Association. We have already held very positive discussions with Lancs FA who have indicated that if we can raise 50% of the development costs they will provide the balance ie in this case £45K
