The Chafford Sports Hall is partly owned by the Havering Council, the company that runs the swimming pool and Harris Academy. The building is in the grounds of the school. It has parking spaces but is used by the school during term-time, so parking would have to be addressed. Rainham needs this building as we are having our resources cut due to local funding being withdrawn by Havering Council. With this building we could really make a difference to the community as Rainham could offer so much more.

What we'll deliver:

• A permanent stage for shows with dressing rooms Drama groups Rehearsal room for other drama groups
• Clubs, ie photographic, quiz nights, art exhibitions, craft shows, wrestling shows
• Pop up cinema

Why it's a great idea:

Rainham is growing and more people are coming into the area. We would like to offer them social activities near to their home without travelling far, for their family and friends. We already have a very active committee who deliver two fayres a year In May and December which are well attended and we would like to expand this which will help both the community and businesses.
