The SpectrumFame Theatre Company has been created to provide employment opportunity for Adults with Autism in Moray. Following an eight week trial we have seven adults who make up the first entry. The scheme will provide an NC in Musical Theatre with the aim of employment within the Company after completion. The project has attracted the attention of the Australian Author Wendy Waters who kindly offered the play “Catch the Moon Mary” as our first project. We are currently working on our interpretation of the play and aim to show in June 2019. At this time we have no funding for the project, Government funding streams are not forthcoming and as such we are hoping to find sponsorship in the long term. The Theatre Company has already changed the lives of the seven Adults involved and with your support we hope to guarantee its success. We are looking for funding specifically for the production and I ask that you please take a look at our FB and Twitter links for more information, Thankyou.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The project has already had an amazing impact on the Autistic adults involved, It has boosted their confidence, provided companionship, provided focus and above all gives them a voice. The aim of the SpectrumFame Theatre Company is to give Autistic Adults employment and through this project, to showcase their talent and to highlight to other employers the potential that is overlooked, not only in Moray but across the Country.
