Angling is a perfect activity to help calm your mind, reduce anxiety, fight off depression and promote relaxation. With increasing numbers of young people presenting with signs of mental health and other wellbeing issues as youth workers who love fishing we have seen how fishing can act as a tool to support their mental health and wellbeing in children and young people. We aim to offer programmes to schools, youth centres, local NHS trusts and the community which meet the following objectives: • maintaining a healthy lifestyle through social interaction, achievement, and mental well-being. • promoting community cohesion, and can help reduce youth crime, anti-social behaviour, bullying and discrimination. • furthering young people’s enjoyment of leisure time. • engaging young people in community activities developing young peoples self-confidence and encourages positive behaviours as nd relationships
