Carnival Big Gig is a day full of activities & food for the local community to explore Latin American & Caribbean carnival arts in a friendly and fun environment.

• Badge & Jewellery making with Jonathan CJE
• Carnival make up with Andrea Greenwood
• Carnival Mask making workshop with Tito Vega
• Pre Colombian Art with Alvaro Suarez
• Recycling materials to create your own carnival art piece with Jose Molina
• Mural Painting with Radikal Arts

Why it's a great idea:

Carnival arts is fun, creative and mysterious.

Bringing together local artist to share their skills with the local community on how to use recyclable household waste to make carnival arts helps to build relationships and to cut barriers between all age groups and backgrounds.

Steps to get it done:

• Call on all the artist named to create a program of activities
• Call on other artist to come and perform
• Call on the Domino community to become involved
• Call the surrounding community
• Create a facebook event and other social media tools to invite people across London
• Create a market area for local traders to sell food and artifacts
• Create a marketing strategy and ask for sponsorship from local community newspapers

The Brixton Domino Community Centre provides space for people to come together, it's large garden provides trading opportunities for local traders and a stage for all the arts. The Carnival Big Gig will be a day full of carnival fun that will cater for over 500 people throughout the day.
