By Carnac Street Community Garden
We want to create a community garden to provide a green space for residents and the local community. We plan to have lots of plants and flowers, also to grow vegetables and herbs when suitable.

We want to create a green space where now there's only asphalt and a continuous fly tipping and rubbish problem. Residents of Jean Humbert House and Josef Perrin don’t have green spaces, we live in flats, this would be something for everyone to enjoy. Green spaces improve lives and can become part of people’s daily lives by tending to them if they have an interest in gardening. We want to regenerate the area. We want to improve where we live. We want to create a space that is welcoming, that gives something back to the community. A space people can enjoy and be proud of. We want this area to improve our lives and those around us.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
It will be an opportunity to grow and share food when seasonally possible. It could potentially attract a small mobile business (i.e. coffee or food van) as there are no cafés or similar around).
