This vibrant event will feature live music, creative and dance workshops, delicious food and tonnes of activities for children and families. We've booked the festival for Saturday 17th August 2013 on Shepherd's Bush Green - but without your help we won't have the funds to stage it!
If you want the festival to happen, please click "pledge" above and contribute whatever you can afford.
We're also looking for volunteers, stall holders, and anyone who wants to offer workshops or perform on the day. If you're interested, click the "volunteer" button above to drop us your details.
Bush Festival tries to represent the whole community. There's something for everyone. Music from around the world, food at affordable prices, and free workshops for everyone to enjoy.
We want the event to be free so that everyone can get involved and enjoy the day!
What we'll do:
Why it's a great idea:
The last two years have proven to be a great success, with over 5,000 people attending the festival in 2012. Shephard's Bush needs this event!
Neighbouring boroughs such as Acton and Fulham have events that promote their community and heritage. We feel Bush Festival fills a hole within our community. Live music brings people together. So does great food!
At previous events we've had people dancing Salsa on the green, learning new moves in the sunshine, and trying out things they've never done before: African drumming, dance workshops, and beat boxing!
Summer in Shephard's Bush won't be the same without it's day of fun in the park. With your help we can ensure it happens!
If we exceed the amount we are fundraising for, all additional funds with be use to support extra workshops and community services.
