Providing support and funding to cricket clubs across the country as they return to cricket.
We need to recruit, train & reward volunteers to help deliver Dynamos Cricket this season. After England's World cup success, there is a massive increase in the number of children in Burgess Hill who want to start playing cricket having been inspired by the likes of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler. Our club is running the ECB's new programme for 9-11 year olds, Dynamos Cricket, as a way of supporting the demand for cricket but we rely on volunteers to give up their time to facilitate this. The programme is designed to introduce youngsters to cricket who have never played the game before. We have successfully run All Stars Cricket (5-8 years old) for the last few years but need more help with the addition of Dynamos. We want to organise evenings at the club to recruit new volunteers from within the club and local community and support them with the training, confidence and tools needed to support Dynamos Cricket.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This initiative will keep youth cricket thriving in Burgess Hill catering for the next generation of cricketers and prepare more volunteers to assist in the delivery of these exciting cricket sessions. It will provide opportunities for children to become more active and will build even stronger links with our local Burgess Hill community.
