Our housing estate was build in 2016 as the last phase of a major redevelopment in Salford Greater Manchester. We were told by the Sales agents that we would have Virgin Media and a BT exchange built on site but unfortunately this never materialised and subsequently we have been told due to our location the post install is not viable. We have been in touch and Openreach have been really helpful and a lifeline confirming that FTTP is an option for us and have estimated a cost of £14k.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
We need superfast broadband to support in an increasing number of internet-capable devices in the home, which include: mobile phones : iPads and tablets : notebooks : e-readers (such as Kindle) : desktop PCs. Superfast broadband will allow a better work-life balance and enables .Homeworking potentially allows many people to achieve a better work-life balance, particularly parents with young children. Currently our slower connection services often don’t permit reliable access to business systems or allow employees to communicate effectively with colleagues or customers through video conferencing etc.
Steps to get it done:
Any donations will be massively appreciated
