We need investments to make the necessary enhancement to make the LM Community Track stadium 'matchday ready*', which means (due to current FA regulations) the following equipment and amenities: 2 x Technical areas and Dugouts for 8 people minimum Turnstiles 'pay box' Outdoor toilets/Changing facilities 1.1 metre high permanent barrier, 1.83 metres from the pitch; PA system Matchday scoreboard Bespoke signage inside and around the stadium This will also help us to deliver community engagement and cultural activities, as well as our important social impact projects locally. We promise that once this has been achieved, Stratford will be a better place for the world's best grassroots community football club.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The project will ensure that Hackney Wick FC can play in the local area, instead of 35 miles away! The stadium will also be used to bring affordable competitive football to the borough for the first time in near 100 years! Hackney Wick FC and Grassroots for Good will be able to deliver their important community engagement projects and activities from this venue, especially for low income groups within the wider area The project will help to support the wider Olympic legacy of the 2012 games to help makes grassroots community sports more accessible to local people. The stadium will be used for sports and culturally event too, these will also be accessible to all the community, especially low-income groups
Steps to get it done:
The project will also help with our wider goals to grow the grassroots game, increase diversity, equity and inclusion and provide progressive social change and impact both on and off the pitch.
