We are looking for local businesses, schools and homeowners to help raise funds to provide better infrastructure to our estate to provide fibre to the cabinet (FTTP) services by BT OpenReach. We are not on any local government plans to have better services in the area so have acted as a group of individuals to fund raise to hit our target. Services are very poor on the estate and need your help to get better internet services for work from home business owners, kids for learning and other services that require higher internet speeds. Since the estate is not on BT's planned rollout of superfast broadband, we investigated some other avenues and there is a project called Community Broadband. BT will fund most of the deployment of fibre, if the community will fund a small portion to meet the gap between the amount BT will provide and the full cost of the project. If all households contribute, it works out to about £125 per household.
