Equipment and repairs for a much loved local bowls club.
In one form or another there has been a bowling club at Elmfield Park for over 100 years. The Harvesters / Eden Grove club have been playing on the green for decades, and need some new equipment and a contribution to some repairs needed through vandalism. The club is open to all, but is currently characterised by an older membership, the regular games help to keep people fit, active and healthy, as well as providing a meeting place and focal point for the local community. Bowls are bowled, jokes are made, tea is drunk by the gallon, and a good time is had by all. For a thousand pounds, the club can do what it needs to do to keep going for another season. If you can help, please do and - if you want to join - you are very welcome to come and see us!

Why it's a great idea:
We love our club, but we don't have the resources to get everything we need to have to continue to play in the league. By pledging, you will allow us to keep playing and keep staying fit and having fun, as well as continuing a tradition of bowls at Elmfield Park that goes back over a century.

VolunteerWe are a bowls club that plays at Elmfield park in Doncaster. We are a small club, but a dedicated one. We are mainly gentlemen, aged 50-80, with a handful of ladies of a similar age range. For us, the club keeps us active, healthy and keeps us in touch with our friends. We also have fun, and spend a lot of time laughing. We are a close-knit bunch, but there aren't many of us, so our subscriptions don't go very far. We are a constituted group with our own bank account, and we are always ready and willing to welcome new members.
