All Hallows Hall, a burnt out Church Hall derelict for 7 years, with a new toilet block indoor and extended wooden construction as a smoking area, holes in roof fixed, new stage built and an enormous amount of clearance and cleaning. 1 year in and we are struggling for money to complete this well loved project
As a newly formed Co-operative we have embarked on this project with our own time and money. 25 people and a lot of love has helped us make a usable community building.
Entertainment, classes and social gathering for the community past and present and future. The Disco Ball, 2 day event, locally produced youth Theatre productions, Experimental Polish Community Choir, Ping Pong Parlor(weekly ping pong sessions), Weekly Circus skills workshop. There are various live music events coming up and more Theatre, Disco and other fun and entertaining events. We support local, businesses by providing a venue for hire to either operate in or hold their classes and workshops.

What we'll deliver:

  • Have the newly donated parquet wooden floor professionally fitted.
  • Seal the side roofs

Why it's a great idea:

We will bring back to life an old community space that was neglected for too long. We have occupied and brought this space up to date. In line with the needs of the local community in times of austerity we are providing a space for local businesses to flourish and as a platform for startup companies. Already we are seeing the space booked for a local conceptual market whose organisers are looking to extend it across Bristol. We are continually providing a base for Ping Pong Parlor, a local business started a year ago and has now made All Hallows Hall its home venue. A local yoga group are due to to start once our floor is laid. Youth Theatre Groups are due to start soon. We have now become a space local people rely upon.

Steps to get it done:

  • Buy materials
  • Employ local trades people

Any money left over or pledged beyond the requirements of renovations will be used towards the leasing of the building.
