My aim is to create a Therapy centre that is inclusive, in order to make this successful I need to buy lots of equipment:- for Rebound Therapy a trampoline with end decks and crash mats (£3000), suitable padding around the walls and floors. Specific trampoline steps (£700) and a hoist (£5000). The sensory room will require special floor and wall coverings lights and sensory toys/equipment. Resources for play and art therapy such as therapeutic games, art supplies and sand play tools. The centre will house a downstairs therapy room, space for play/Art therapy. An around 20ft high trampolining area which will house approx 2 trampolines and the relevant safety equipment, this will offer a calm and quiet atmosphere unlike a sports centre. A sensory room on the lower floor for accessibility. A generic therapy room on the ground floor. A WC and kitchen area to offer drinks. A waiting area for both parents/carers and siblings. If achievable an office & further counselling/therapy room.

Why it's a great idea:

There is a great need for this in North Somerset and surrounding areas. We have nothing like this centre and open Rebound Therapy sessions aren't offered within around 60 miles. In North Somerset we house 3 special schools as well as children in main stream schools who can benefit, such as children with sensory processing issues. we have a high amount of care homes catering for adults with learning disabilities, autism specific and care/ nursing homes also mental health supported housing. Our 'looked after' children and care leavers can also benefit from not only the Rebound Therapy but also therapy offered here. I believe this centre could offer a service to a wide range of people in our community and surrounding areas.
