What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
COMPANY CULTURE BWSL is a great way to show solidarity and progressively enhance income within Black Owned Businesses. COLLABORATION We believe that collaboration is the key to success and it will be done with the community as the focal point. SOCIAL CAPITAL We promote the growth of social capital through effective functioning of social groups through interpersonal relationships, a shared sense of identity, a shared understanding, shared norms, shared values, trust, cooperation, and reciprocity... SOLUTION FOCUSED We believe that people are power! GENERATIONAL WEALTH By creating opportunities to develop, buy and own property or start and expand business ideas, we provide an abundance of value which can be passed on... Creating new jobs and opportunities for generations to come. LEGACY Leaving the gift of legacy... Our one policy solution is to improve access to credit... Creating a family culture of success in an environment that is conducive towards it.
Steps to get it done:
BWSL founder, Natasha Vigille, created 'The Black Million,' a crowdfunding campaign, designed to primarily raise funds to purchase premises for 'BWSL' after coming up against hurdles whilst trying to find organisations and venues that were not averse to hosting a Black owned business event concept... So far... We have raised £1280 from 89 members of 'The Black Million' via the 'Crowdfunder' crowdfunding platform... Thank You Crowdfunder! For the second stage of our fundraising journey... We are happy to announce our new partnership with 'BuildHer,' a Black owned crowdfunding platform. BWSL are seeking to continue to host a series of events in the near future post COVID and are looking to develop strategic relationships.
