Bullcroft Memorial Hall will open the Bev-Ridge Cafe to support the local community, older people and people with learning disabilities by bringing people together who suffer from loneliness.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
The full cost of the cafe renovation is £23k. We need to raise £6000 in match funding to unlock a big grant. No pledges will be taken until all the funding is in place. We will keep you updated. Thank you for your support! With support from The Ridge Employability College, Bev-Ridge Cafe will improve health and emotional well-being and reduce social isolation by providing a space for people to have a conversation over a coffee or cup of tea, there will also be snacks available. There will be a range of support at the Cafe either on a one to one basis or within a group setting to help people live happy and fulfilled lives. There will be activities going on such as Crafts, Gardening, computer classes etc. The Cafe will also provide training/volunteering opportunities.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
We have run occassional events such as vintage tea parties and following these events people have called in occassionally to ask if there are plans to have regular café open where people can call in for a friendly chat and get involved in other activities or volunteering opportunities.
