We want to provide a range of picnic tables around the two childrens playground areas, along with benches all around the park.
The park is a site of Metroplolitan Importance for nature conservation and relies heavily on volunteers from the local community and local businesses to maintain the conservation upkeep. Without them, the conservation work would not happen. By having more benches and seating around the park, we can encourage other volunteers in as they will have places to sit and rest on during their work.
The park also provides educational curriculum support to local school children and we have a new pond dipping platform being installed within the next year. With areas for seating and having lunch breaks, more schools will be able to visit and take part in our education programme

Why it's a great idea:
Bedfont Lakes Country Park is a 72.5-hectare Local Nature Reserve and Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation in Bedfont in the London Borough of Hounslow. It is visited and enjoyed by members of the local community from all walks of life, provides education support for local schools and volunteer experiences for work and college groups. Funding for the park is very limited and there is little provision for seating. It is a very large area for people to walk around and the elderly and people with disabilities would mostly benefit from having benches where they can stop and relax. Picnic benches would mean schools and family groups would have somewhere appropriate to eat lunch and would enable them to stay at the park for longer.
