Basfest is a two day ‘Family’ Music Festival that was set up 15 years ago. The festival back then attracted over 35,000 people as it was a very popular festival, however five years ago the festival had to stop. The festival features three stages - Main Stage which we will feature well known tribute acts, celebrity singers and more names that are being confirmed once we have our chosen venue. The second stage is the ‘Community Stage’ and this features LOCAL bands, singers, dance groups, magicians and is about giving local artists a unique PR & Marketing platform and it gets the name of the acts out to 20,000 people. As well as a mix of music there is an events arena, various marquees, a market, and a HUGE fairground - Basfest has something for the whole family to enjoy. The festival is also reaching out to local students from schools/colleges to volunteer at the festival and to involve local universities who’s students are studying Event Management to give the students experience
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Basfest was such a popular festival in the Basildon Borough attracting over 35,000 people. We want to give something back to the community by offering a low cost music festival and donating proceedings to Mental Health Charities and Scout Groups. Basfest is also reaching out to local students from schools/colleges to volunteer at the festival and to involve local universities who’s students are studying Event Management to give the students experience in the industry by offering work placements. We are so passionate about bringing the event back and having something to be proud of in the local area we hope people will get involved and make this event happen.
Steps to get it done:
