We are hosting a Charity Launch at St Philip's Cathedral, Colmore Row, Birmingham on Saturday the 7th of April 2018! There will be Hot food, Music, Talks from Dietricians, Market stalls and Raffles!
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
We have applied for an events license & are waiting for it to be granted. In the unlikely event that this is not granted, no money will be taken from backers. As a new charity, we want people to be aware of what we aim to do; our goals, plans & how we are here to help the community! With skills being lost in society, we are set up to bring this back! Our first project is Food; as it is a universal language! We struggle with learning how to grow our food using organic & natural methods. Our launch will be about understanding the One-Straw Revolution theory & permaculture techniques which have lower impact on the environment, yet helps plants to find companions within themselves. Every member of the public is invited to hear what we have to say, & all will be demonstrated in a fun & child-friendly manner, with kid's crafts & face painting available too! Hot food, Live Music & Organic & Natural Market Stalls will be available, with our team answering any questions asked!
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
As we are a new charity, people will not have heard about what we intend to do, and how we intend on helping the community become a team again. We are having this launch, with media present, in order to introduce ourselves and give the public a reason to get involved! We also aim to give people a better understanding of the importance of bringing back those skills which were once passed down from generation to generation, but are now lost! Volunteers will also be able to apply on this day!
