Throughout the day we aim to bring in as many different styles and types of live music as we can, ensuring that we utilise the whole space at different times of the day. We will work with the Hospital to provide a range of musical activities at different points of the day to provide specific moods and atmospheres.. We will extend the activities out into the grounds of the Hospital to try and engage as wide an audience as possible - patients, visitors, staff, outside agencies etc

What we'll deliver:

• Set up a stage in the West Atrium and also performance area around the site

Why it's a great idea:

We had an initial day of music last year and had excellent feedback from all the audience members, so want to build on that experience to see how much variety we can bring together, celebrating the diversity of our community. Music helped patients who were tense and anxious and also visitors. Staff commented on how music helped them to enjoy their breaks !

Steps to get it done:

• Work with the Hospital Arts officer to pool our resources and create a fabulous gathering of styles and performers !

We will work with visual artists too to add another element to the project this year.. having materials available on tables for people to create their own reflection on the music t hey hear which can contribute to an organic exhibition of images which capture the day as a whole.
