The silver linx project has grown at a fast rate in serving the elderly our numbers are now 50 in total and still growing month by month we can see the impact and benefit on all of our elderly that we serve as we are overwhelmed at the comments in forever saying thank you and in having a place to come on a weekly basis and the well being factor which reduces isolation and psychological constraints such as depression, Loneliness , which can have a detrimental effect on Health issues where our elderly can come to a safe environment and get the support they need , We have ascertained that our project will reduce Isolation, loneliness, depression, , in our ongoing project has served the elderly for 3 years for which silver links has delivering to the elderly your funding would secure project costs for another years service to the elderly from yourselves

What we'll deliver:

• Empower the elderly through Social Inclusion
• To show case there craft and art
• To allow the elderly to grow through social Interaction

Why it's a great idea:

The Silver Links project has been going for 3 years and is growing at a fast rate in the reality that social exclusion exists where the elderly have No where to go , the craft and art that they produce gives them so much inspiration and joy in having some where to come on a weekly basis . The elderly have so much to give back , we are looking at doing a pantomine this xmas where our users will participate , over 50 + elderly will benefit from our project and the numbers are growing even young people come along to volunteer this really breaks down barriers as they share thier life experiences and realise they have a common them

• Through our wonderful staff and volunteers

Through a lack of community support groups it is apparent that social exclusion exists which can lead to a further detrimental effect on the elderly. We are the right organisation because we have been continually delivering projects for the benefit of the local community in promoting social Inclusion and have reduced stressors within the local community. We have learnt and have demonstrated, the heart to serve sacrificially in the determination and competency to grow further through further development overall, from working with partner agencies and effectively being able to manage grants.
