I would like to create a litter picking group in my local area. People would 'borrow' their own set of litter picking equipment and would pick as and when they could, as well as organised group picks.
This project is preparing for fundraising. Click Like to show your support, or Follow for updates on this project's journey.
People will borrow their own equipment to do their own litter picks, alone or with friends, as an organised pick, or on their way back from the local shops. They will then share their achievements on social media to show what they have done and to inspire others to do the same. The more pickers who join our team, the cleaner our village will be, and even those who are physically unable to join the picks will play an important part in sharing and promoting our group's aims and achievements.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This is a community project that brings people of all ages together to create a cleaner, better, happier place to live. Generations will unite in order to achieve the goal of improving our local area, and people will take pride in looking after our village. People will begin to build even more of a sense of pride in the village than we already have. It will be a great place to live, work and spend recreation time.
