What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This project is a great idea because it will not only provide training and work placement to young people who would otherwise have no opportunities, it will also benefit those with special needs and the community at large. The young people whilst acquiring skills and gain work experience will able to give something back to the community providing gardening and tidy up of communal places where ever there is a need. They will also clean graffiti from public places and provide practical support to people with special needs in gardening, painting and decorating; generally improving areas for the benefit of the community.
Steps to get it done:
The project will seek to work with businesses, local authority and other employers to identify further work experience opportunities for the trainees. If further education is required, we will work with candidates to identify relevant training. Skills acquired will benefit not just the participants as they go on to find and secure employment, the community will benefit from skills acquisition.
