Amersham Welcome Signs

Jane Duncan By Jane Duncan

Everyone has sat nav or smartphones with computer maps on, but there’s nothing like a good old road sign for telling you where a place is. The problem is that Amersham doesn’t have too many.

We’d like to propose changing that and want to hear what people think.

Several signs are needed to welcome visitors to our great town. One on the the road from Chesham with others needed on the route coming from Little Chalfont, where there are no signs.

What we'll deliver:

  • Agree with the Councl a design template for the Welcome Sign.

Why it's a great idea:

This is something everyone takes for granted. While the signs would be standard-issue road signage and have to be produced through existing channels, we would propose raising the funding privately to ensure the project can happen and allow Amersham to be firmly on the map.

Steps to get it done:

  • Commission the sign to be made.

Location Amersham

Amersham has 7 other projects and £355,000 in potential grant funding
