Whilst working as chairman for my Regimental Association I have noticed that currently there is a severe lack in the continuity of support for service personnel that are facing the impending transition into Civvie Street and how those who have left service appear to actively miss the Regimental structure of being in service. Having free access to the opportunities that are designed to provide the same unity, self-discipline, belief, regime, personal achievements and camaraderie, when outside the military and blue light service is severely limited. These men and women are highly trained, physically and mentally and may benefit from structure and stimulation being re-introduced into their lives, even for a short period of time. The aim of this project is to offer a bespoke support package tailored to an individual’s specific need and give back a sense of belonging and achievement that these personnel are potentially not getting after service.
