Allotment are wonderful places to grow friendships as well as vegetables and flowers. They help people to feel happy and healthy and at Felpham Allotments we believe in sharing our special place.
We have had funding for a disabled Woowoo loo - it will be installed in June.
The next stage of the project is to make a plot available to someone who may otherwise be excluded.
Our dream to make a disabled plot could become a reality with more funding.

We have a strong connection with the local school, the children love the allotments and learn so much.
We believe that allotments have not always been inclusive and by forging ahead with this project we can change perceptions.
What we'll deliver:
- We will adapt an allotment plot.
- We will make the surface from the car park to the plot safe.
- we will support the plot.
Why it's a great idea:
There has never been a better time to open up spaces like allotments to disabled gardeners, They more than any other group would benefit from the attributes of being part of something so worthwhile. They would get fitter and feel better mentally. It has been proven that this kind of activity is all positive. Living in the moment and being absorbed in the simple tasks of achieving growing your own food to eat and all that it involves. Sharing gardening experiences whilst using our little club house to make a cup of tea and take a break. We have many activities throughout the year and so our new plot holder would find the whole experience opening up a different perspective on life. Please support our project? It cannot happen without this kind of funding. Having made such a great start we would really love to see it through. We have done so much already with the funding we achieved in the past.
