What is a virtual incubator and why do we want one? The goal is to provide a physical place for locals individuals and startup companies to interact get access from Mentors (Via Skype Kiosks, Slack, Trello, etc) By providing the connections and skillsets startups need to launch and grow (Developers,Growth Hackers, Crowd-funders,Recruitment,Advisors, "those who have done it before" in addition to the standard fare of hot desking (laptop docking stations, PCs, WiFi,.) we can allow companies to start and grow locally, bring local jobs and tax revenue. Without the need for founders to move away for launch support, we can help to grow local companies, that can build real local value, and employment options. Software can be built and deployed anywhere the Internet is good enough. Why not here? We can copy the sucess of tele-presence used in Berlin to link into SV ecosystems, to link smaller communties together as a"virtual-city" By open-sourcing the blueprints we can scale with others,
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
People are continually forced out of the area due to lack of jobs locally, or are commuting adding stress to the traffic. By providing the opportunity locally we can bring more jobs into the area, lowering unemployment and reducing traffic. By open-sourcing our materials we can allow for many other identical communities, to spring up. Provide activity for job seekers on new employment allowance or similar looking to start a software business to get off the ground.
