Please note this fund is open twice per year for spring and autumn funding rounds - see the About page for more information on the next deadline.

We are looking to support projects which provide or enhance community facilities, for example community centres and hubs, voluntary sector meeting places and community kitchens, and public art installations and cultural facilities. We are particularly interested in projects that address social exclusion.

Projects should meet at least one of the following for local residents:

• Improve community participation in, and ownership of, community places and spaces.
• Empower and enable local communities.
• Address and reduce social exclusion, including digital exclusion.
• Help to create a safer, greener borough.
• Benefit the local economy.

1. Create a project page on Spacehive outlining your idea
2. Get matched to our fund and others
3. Pitch for a pledge from funds
4. Your project will be verified to check the costs and permissions
5. Start your crowdfunding campaign and showcase local support
6. We'll pledge alongside the crowd - if your pitch to us is successful - one month after the fund deadline
7. Hit your target and deliver your project.
8. Report back by completing an impact report.

We are looking for projects that:

• are new and innovative
• have raised a good proportion of their overall funding target
• involve Hammersmith & Fulham residents and/or organisations in improving their local community
• deliver benefits and high quality outcomes for residents
• help to achieve the Council’s targets

What projects won't we pledge to:

• projects with political aims, campaigns and lobbies
• projects that promote religious interests and objectives
• Schools (although associated, supporting or connected organisations may be eligible)
• Individuals
• organisations' on-going running costs such as business rates

The H&F Hive helps crowdfund community projects in Hammersmith & Fulham. As a project creator you can bid for council funding and support to help bring your idea to life.

To align with our plans to be net zero as a borough by 2030, we want to support all projects on the H&F Hive to: 

• At minimum, do no harm to the environment
• Where possible, actively contribute towards reducing emissions and restoring biodiversity
   

There are 5 areas for all projects to consider, which you will be asked about when you pitch for funds available on H&F Hive. These align with the 5 themes in our Climate Action Plan:

• Buildings
• Travel 
• Consumption
• Ecology
• Adapting to climate change
