North of Tyne

Crowdfund North of Tyne gives inspired people in our patch the opportunity to create create and fund projects which celebrate and improve our local areas. During the coronavirus crisis we have seen the amazing resilience, innovation and compassion of people within our communities. As we emerge from the crisis, we hope that this programme will become a springboard for a locally led recovery, where groups will have the ability to attract funding from the communities, local businesses, foundations and the Combined Authority all in one place. Through the combined authority and our partners, there is also funding available with up to £5,000 available per project

Kent

Crowdfund Kent is focused on giving local organisations and groups the opportunity to take forward projects and ideas to improve their local area. We have seen an incredible response from our communities over the last year and we know the importance of those local connections and groups to improving resilience and wellbeing. As we start to emerge from the crisis, we hope this programme will enable recovery to be locally led and provide that much needed support to the innovation driven by local groups and networks, which make our communities.

Birmingham

We are seeking to help fund the delivery of ward and neighbourhood projects that positively impact upon things that matter to local people and local communities.

As part of this crowdfunding programme, as well as attracting pledges from local people and organisations with an interest in your project, BCC also have a funding pot of £1.18 million available across 11wards to support campaigns through the local element of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Funding.

Our platform is a place to connect businesses, residents and communities to showcase ideas for the borough and attract funds. Along with tailored support, Crowdfund Walsall are able to provide a maximum pledge of £3,500 to individual projects.

CrowdFundLeicester is all about connecting people, communities, businesses and resources to good ideas that will improve our City. This initiative is a great way to get people, including the City Mayor, to back your project idea and help make it a reality through crowdfunding.

Sunderland

From music festivals to art installations, guerrilla gardening to pop up markets, Crowdfund Sunderland celebrates the innovation and creativity of the city. Through this programme, local organisations can fund and deliver projects which matter to their local area. Along with workshops and tailored support, there will also be a fund of £50,000 available from the council to support crowdfunding campaigns in the city, with a maximum pledge of £5,000 available per project.

Shropshire

This new crowdfunding programme from Shropshire Council in partnership with Spacehive, is an opportunity for you to bring forward an impactful project in your neighbourhood and receive financial support from the Council and the local community – via crowdfunding – to help make it happen.

Camden

Camden Future High Streets Crowdfund is an initiative launched by Camden Council, in partnership with civic crowdfunding platform Spacehive. We are seeking to fund the delivery of innovative, forward-thinking projects that support the re-imagining of our high streets and recovery for a sustainable future. High streets at the heart of our communities, and the Council are seeking proposals from local groups and organisations that provide clear benefits to Camden’s high streets, businesses and the residents they serve.

As part of this crowdfunding programme, as well as attracting pledges from people and organisations with an interest in your project, you can also receive a pledge of up to £35,000 or up to 50% of your costs (up to 75% in exceptional circumstances) from the council.

Hammersmith and Fulham Hive

Cotswold

Cotswold citizens know best what is needed in their neighbourhoods, what works, what’s truly sustainable and they have the skills, creativity and talent/drive to shape their local area and the future they want. Crowdfund Cotswold provides springboard for locally-led ideas to attract funding more easily, while enabling everyone who cares about their community to contribute – chipping in as little as £2 to help bring projects to life.

During the Coronavirus Crisis we have seen the amazing resilience, innovation and compassion of people within our community. As we emerge from the current crisis, it is hoped that this crowdfunding programme will become a positive springboard for a locally-led revival, where local groups come up with attractive project ideas to benefit the community, and generate financial and volunteer time support from residents, businesses and the council. The council will have an amount of match-funding available to pledge towards local crowdfunding projects/campaigns through the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), as long as projects meet the selection criteria and there are sufficient available funds.

Westminster

Created by Westminster City Council in partnership with crowdfunding platform Spacehive, Crowdfund Westminster is designed to enable Westminster residents and businesses to support creative, diverse projects that will benefit our communities. Throughout the coronavirus outbreak and the lockdown, we’ve seen an incredible outpouring of support and compassion across Westminster’s communities.

Crowdfund Westminster will enable us to channel that fantastic community spirit to support projects that help residents get back on their feet, learn new skills and care for their local environment. Along with advice and support for interested organisations, the council also has funds it can pledge to campaigns, with funding dependent on the nature of the project.

We know that COVID-19 has taken a toll on our mental health, social connections, and local economies, as well as highlighted the need for quality outdoor spaces and new ways of safely coming together.

In response to this, the Mayor of London created a new £500,000 programme to support communities to come together and create new and impactful projects that help their neighbourhoods recover and ‘build back better.’

Liverpool
