360 Arts offers a fun, safe place where they can explore their capabilities and realise their full potential. 360 Arts are committed to nurturing the most shy, self-conscious of characters whilst embracing and channelling larger than life personalities. Our professional, trained teachers will work to your child’s individual strengths and capabilities whilst giving them a solid foundation in the three main performance disciplines. Carol’s vision would be to ensure that every child that comes to 360 is made to feel special and the parents welcomed and confident that they are leaving their children in a nurturing caring, professional environment where they can be free to be themselves, gain confidence and make friends for life. Carol’s ambitions for 360 is to expand the classes into the afternoon at their current location on a Sunday. Provide Saturday and evening classes across Barnet. n particular reaching out to children of disadvantaged backgrounds from all cultures.

What we'll deliver:

  • Passion
  • Dedication
  • Commitment

Why it's a great idea:

I was painfully shy as a child and I only became confident when I realised it was ok to be me and I became proud of myself and the person I had grown into. I lost so much of my youth because I was afraid to speak my mind and avoided confrontation because I didn't have the capability to find my way through until i became an adult. If I can help even one child to have the confidence to find their own way of expression be it through, dance, music or drama, that is their escapism and outlet, I will be proud to know that I made difference. Music has an almost immediate calming effect, Dance portrays deep emotion that cannot be spoken and drama allows you to take on a persona and be whoever you want to be in that moment. A lot of children especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, war torn countries, broken homes have seen too much and have no escapism as they haven't been able to access the healing that the creative arts can provide, in abundance. My goal is to reach out to them.

Steps to get it done:

  • Equipment for micriophones and speakers, provide scholarship places and discounts for the under priviledged.

We also have a talent agency for children and young performers from the age of 5-25 representing young talent for professional work within the industry. We are selective and will only put forward the children we feel are agency ready but only after we have held parent and a child meetings to make everybody aware of the industry as a whole and help the parents to understand how to help the children to become resilient by training them to realise that it doesn't matter if they get the job or not, its about how they feel once they come out of an audition room. We teach the parents how to prepare for an audition without the pressure, it should be a fun experience where the children get to do what they love most, singing, dancing and acting. For those that want to be represented we work with them until they are ready, however long that maybe. All or teachers are industry professionals, they are all DBS checked and we have first aiders on site every week.
