360 Arts offers a fun, safe place where they can explore their capabilities and realise their full potential. 360 Arts are committed to nurturing the most shy, self-conscious of characters whilst embracing and channelling larger than life personalities. Our professional, trained teachers will work to your child’s individual strengths and capabilities whilst giving them a solid foundation in the three main performance disciplines. Carol’s vision would be to ensure that every child that comes to 360 is made to feel special and the parents welcomed and confident that they are leaving their children in a nurturing caring, professional environment where they can be free to be themselves, gain confidence and make friends for life. Carol’s ambitions for 360 is to expand the classes into the afternoon at their current location on a Sunday. Provide Saturday and evening classes across Barnet. n particular reaching out to children of disadvantaged backgrounds from all cultures.

What we'll deliver:

• Engage more of the Youth in Barnet and introduce them to the Performing Arts
• Provide costumes
• Radio Mics
• Hire the Theatre for Dress Rehearsal, Tech Runs and the performance

Why it's a great idea:

I was painfully shy as a child and I only became confident when I realised it was ok to be me and I became proud of myself and the person I had grown into. If I can help even one child to have the confidence to find their own way of expression be it through, dance, music or drama, that is their escapism and outlet, I will be proud to know that I made difference. Music has an almost immediate calming effect, Dance portrays deep emotion that cannot be spoken and drama allows you to take on a persona and be whoever you want to be in that moment. A lot of children especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, have seen too much and have no escapism as they haven't been able to access the healing that the creative arts can provide, in abundance. My goal is to reach out to the Barnet youth community, tell their story on the big stage, provide a different outlet other than violence and gangs. Give them a sense of belonging and open up/provide another avenue for the Youth in Barnet

Steps to get it done:

We want to enlighten the Barnet Youth Community and provide opportunities for all, we will be able to provide children with the opportunity to help with stage management, tech runs, theatre layout, learn how projection and running orders add to the smooth running of the show. As well as help with costume changes and back stage management. The performers will learn why dress rehearsals, tech runs all lead up to and help them give a truly wonderful performance from the heart whether it be through the magic of singing, the wonder of dance or the enjoyment of acting.The Barnet Youth of today will learn how to operate mics, what to do when things go wrong and how to handle the audience expectations. More than all of the above, it will bring the Barnet Youth Community together sharing a passion and belief that through their performance, they truly can make a difference and reach out to their peers and become one big happy family where everybody belongs.Performing arts instills confidence.
