Welcome to our 21st Century Band Stand & Heritage Arts Park project - a dream to build a prototype Band Stand in purpose built park created for Perfomances and place a band stand in each local park, with a 21st century feel. To restore and revitalising community spirit, by bringing diverse talents and cultures together. A "live stage an Open stage", owned 'by the people, for the people'. The band stand will be surrounded by its own grounds, community market area and car boot sales area. Can you perform? do you wants to perform? on your own or together, with freedom in an open space? We can do this together..what do you think?..Looking for your ideas and input. Do you know a green space that fits the bill? Feel free to send your ideas and thoughts Our Motto “One act of random kindness” Our Aims - 21st century pop up musical events on a regular basis, throughout Manchester parks, showing off community talent, powered by green power, helping to promote sustainable local business

What we'll deliver: A Heritage Arts Park and the first 21st Century Band Stand dedicated to Tony Wilson with a view to one in each park. Create an Art Park dedicated to those who lost there lives at Manchester arena to celebrate Manchester rich musical heritage, its contribution and influence to world music and the arts past and present. To Inspire future generations by bring the community together. Provide a free space where talent can be realised and shared in a dedicated space where the community can visit and share together Create a free space for sustainable community event organised by the community across the arts, through out the day, weeks and year Create a creative space for those in the community. Create weekly events where everyone can come together for tea dance for the elderly and young to connect, see plays, films, recital etc Provide market stall and car boot sales area, seating arrangement for films and events around the bandstand
Steps to get it done:
Historically band stands were built to draw the community together, to built a sense of belonging. A place people could share their experiences both physical, musical and spiritually What does that mean to you? Do you want to know your neighbough, to make your community a better place to live? Do you have a desire to sing or listen live to music weekly, put on event? Together we can re-establish the heart of the community. A place need for friendships and support are met, were you know each other and are able to shared and enjoyed green open spaces and blue skies together.
