Our proposal is that, we with local residents and businesses take control and management of the site on voluntary basis. We do not want any funds and will raise money from local residents and local businesses who will place gates on both entrances (Ilford Lane and Mayville Road). They will trust us in managing the site and we will make sure that the site is cleaned, managed and secure from any criminal activity. We would like to suggest community gate keepers. Please see a preliminary draft drawing carried out again on voluntary basis as a children’s play area. As you can see, we have been proactive in our proposal as we feel that we are victims here and also at the same time understand that the local police and council have their limitations in resources. Again, the local residents and businesses will contribute towards the costs to install children’s play area or a vision of something more beneficial than the current dilapidated seating.

What we'll deliver:

  • open children’s play area

Why it's a great idea:

We have a proven track record of working in the local area speaking to local residents, businesses, police and council. Our primary purpose of engagement was to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. Ilford Lane has had a dramatic transformation and attracted many businesses from all over England. Jubilee Gardens continues to be neglected/overlooked. Being right in the centre of Ilford Lane and a space with so much to offer it has the potential to be the heart of Ilford Lane. We would like to promote more family friendly and safe spaces, and jubilee gardens would be ideal for this.
