The centre will also be the first in the region to be fully equipped with Adaptive Music Technology equipment & innovative software, breaking disabling barriers to help people that find it more of a challenge to participate in & make music. People using the centre will have the opportunity to: Form new meaningful relationships, Develop confidence & self esteem, Empower individuals to further themselves, Learn new transferable skills in music, digital arts, multimedia & ICT, Volunteer, Provide a way into further education & employment through accreditation in the Arts & work experience. Other uses: Unique performance space, interactive art installation & hackable music studio.
Steps to get it done:
Beat This has helped over 1,400 young people in Greater Peterborough and Cambridgeshire, working with over 45 community organisations and charities delivering unique hands-on music-based activities. We want to continue to develop the Centre so that we can provide the whole region with somewhere really amazing that people can access. The adaptive space will be designed as a programmable, hackable, immersive music studio. You can now make and affect music by simply moving around, interacting with objects and even each other. The details are complicated but infer-red cameras, advanced ipad use and music software, all have a part to play in making the magic happen! The experience will be immersive for the creators, a challenge for hackers / programmers and a must for makers interested in using a room to make music. We are confident the benefits of the Centre will be many; we now need our your support to make it happen! #musicforall #communitymusicpeterborough #chimever2.1
