Friends of Clapham Common are fundraising in order to plant more trees and bulbs on Clapham Common. We partner with CCMAC (Clapham Common Management Advisory Committee).
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
Clapham Common is a hugely valuable recreational space for South Londoners. Trees on the Common provide valuable habitats for wildlife, shade for park users, and purify car exhaust fumes from the air.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
There is scope to boost the density of tree planting on Clapham Common. These trees will assist with detoxifying car fumes rising from the South Circular road, and provide a 'skyscraper; habitat for a range of wildlife. Bulb plantings will enhance the colour and beauty experienced by users of the Common during the spring and winter.
