EVERYONE on BOARDS CIC is founded by Agnieszka Aga Wood in February 2020 as a direct response to community needs.
Being a mother of two young girls, she realised there is a need for changes to be made in action sports to open the doors to a wider group of participants, to encourage a younger generation to take part regardless of their gender, age, or social status.
Its started as a grassroots organisation bringing skateboarding closer to Waltham Forest community, opening up this unique culture and giving young people and families from every background the chance to experience and participate.
EVERYONE on BOARDS is an established partner in the Barbican Walthamstow Garden Party where we have organised skateboarding workshops over the past 2 years. These events encouraged parents to work with children, These events encouraged parents to work with children, take part in design and printing workshops and learn new skills through our skate clinics, e.g. grip tape workshop etc
These events were conducted with the support of the Smithsonian's Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation in Washington USA and Autodesk 3D Printing.
In September 2019, with the support of Vans, we organised a screening of the award-winning and BAFTA-nominated film ‘Kamali’ during the girls skate night at House of Vans, Waterloo. We started a fundraising drive to help build a skate park in Kamali's village in India. (Is there an update on if this is ongoing or happening?)
