Rene is 91 and makes meals for the elderly! There are new windows, boiler and kitchen in place - we need to replace floor covering. We need to get rid of the gaffer tape holding the carpet together!
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
A new floor will make it safe for the elderly, partially sighted and children to get together to eat, have parties and social time. It is currently a mix of wood, carpets and gaffer tape!
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Rene is 91. Meet her - in the video Rene will tell you all about her work with the elderly at St Lawrence Community Hall. She has two groups - a lunch club and a Darby and Joan Club
Steps to get it done:
This is the final part of a refurbishment programme of £32K, Rene has her new kitchen, new flooring in the toilets, new windows and a new boiler. The hall floor covering is the final part of the project. Rene and her friends will be very pleased to have great facilities. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwLjUhFXbGo
