What we'll deliver:

  • a fun day out for everybody, young and old, and a great way to celebrate the diversity of faith in Croydon
  • encourage understanding of croydon's faith communities
  • foster good community relations by talking to one another and acknowledging each other
  • to share an experience of community, friendship, fitness and fun
  • bring together members of the community together

Why it's a great idea:

Whether religious or not, we always find common ground with people on a bike ride, it’s one of life’s great levellers. You soon realise how we are all the same when you’re all rolling along with a grin on your face or huffing and puffing collectively up a hill.

Steps to get it done:

  • Book a Big Lunch picnic at Parkhill Recreation ground
  • Fundraise for the cost of hiring 2 professional cycling instructors who safeguard the ride
  • Promote the event to everyone including; residents, faith communities and cyclists
  • Agree start location, places of worship to stop at and the timings.
  • People will need to sign up on eventbrite, link TBC

Pre-registration is essential and can be carried out at an eventbrite link TBC
